As Managing Director of PH Jones (Centrica Group), Janine spearheaded a high-velocity transformation of a complex national engineering, repairs and Net Zero contracting operation serving Social Housing providers, the Welsh Government and British Gas’ private customers.
In her first year, she delivered £90M in revenue at a 20% gross margin — an 8% uplift year on year — by tightening operational efficiency and sharpening commercial performance. Her turnaround strategy delivered a +£4M profitability swing, stabilising the business and rebuilding confidence at Group Executive level. This momentum has put PH Jones on course to return to profit in 2025 — the first time in five years.
A landmark achievement was securing and mobilising a £210M, seven-year contract with the Welsh Government, the largest awarded to the business in over a decade. Janine also unlocked £4M in organic growth across the existing portfolio by enabling regional teams with greater autonomy and channelling expanded British Gas support services. Alongside this, she generated £3.3M in new revenue streams spanning Smart metering, electrical services and Net Zero solutions.
Her leadership initiated a major cultural shift, delivering the highest employee engagement results since PH Jones was acquired in 2011. Through visible leadership, transparent communication and a renewed shared purpose, engineering and operational teams were re-energised and aligned behind the transformation.
